Charles J. Franklin II, Board Member

Charles Franklin is currently employed by American Honda Motor Co., Inc. as the Manager of Corporate Services with an annual operational budget of $7 million, a staff of 62 associates, as well as indirect vendor contract management exceeding $56 million. In this position, he has served as the National Business Travel Association’s Vice President and was honored as one of the most influential African Americans in the Auto Industry in 2007.

Charles is thoroughly committed to the community. He currently supports numerous professional and community based organizations including but not limited to the following: President & Chief Volunteer Officer, Challengers Boys and Girls Club Board of Directors; Co-Chair Business Evolution Committee, Greater Los Angeles African American Chamber of Commerce; The Brotherhood Crusade Board of Directors, Corporate Advisory Board; President, Black Alumni Council, Pepperdine University Grazidio School of Business; Board of Directors, Greater Crenshaw Educational Partnership; Zeta Rho Foundation Board of Directors, Director of Development; and Founding Director, Champions of Education Golf Invitational, having raised over $400K for the youth of the Greater Los Angeles area.

Charles Franklin holds a Bachelor’s degree from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Business Administration from Pepperdine University and is currently an adjunct instructor for Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.

Mr. Franklin is happily married to his wife of 24 years Gloria; they have one daughter, who is currently a junior Spellman College.
