The Bridge Builders Foundation Scholarship Program was initiated in 1982 and annually awards educational scholarships for minority youth based on their commitment to attend a four-year college, their civic and community involvement, and their scholarly attainments and aspirations. The program awards initial scholarships for current graduating high school seniors and continuing renewal scholarships for those continuing their education at a 4-year college. Additionally, the program includes supplemental student tracking, and supportive mentor services that helps students to address issues that often impede and deters academic progress. Our goal is to maximize college graduation rates for African American males, which historically has been a problem. To date over $500,000 in scholarships has been awarded.
