Interim Executive Director
James Breedlove is a retired Supervisory Peace Officer for the State of California Parole and Community Services Division. He has more than 30 years of experience in corrections and rehabilitation. In 2005, he received the State of California Parole and Corrections Association Supervisor of the Year award.
Mr. Breedlove is also a licensed Real Estate Broker specializing in both residential and residential investment properties since 1988. He is the former CEO of Rosewood Adult Residential Facilities, which is a group of community-based residential-care facilities that house, feed, and oversee services to adults living with mental illness.
Mr. Breedlove holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master’s degree in public administration from California State University, Long Beach. Mr. Breedlove enjoys reading and traveling.
Senior Program Director
William Rochester is currently the Senior Program Director for the Bridge Builders Foundation. Before joining Bridge Builders Foundation, he served as principal of the School for Integrated Academics and Technologies at Los Angeles Charter High School (SIATech). A native of Los Angeles, Mr. Rochester has more than 20 years of experience teaching high school students Algebra I and II, Geometry, Trigonometry, and AP Statistics.
Mr. Rochester holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from the University of Southern California. And he holds a dual master’s degree in mathematics and educational administration from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
Mr. Rochester is married with one daughter and enjoys chess, golf, and studying African American history.
Program Coordinator
Charles brings over 20 years of experience as a Corporate Training and Development Manager in the Wireless Industry, having worked with Sprint, Verizon, LG, and T-Mobile. He is a former educator who served the South Los Angeles community at the Marcus Garvey School.
A dedicated father, husband, friend, and mentor, Charles holds an MBA in Business Management from the University of Redlands and a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Management from DeVRY Institute of Technology. As a retired Army Reservist, he is passionate about mentoring and guiding future generations toward success.
Program Coordinator
Drew Reid is the Program Coordinator for the Youth Ambassador Program as well as our STEAM and Start-2-Finish Programs. In this role, he keeps the students and school faculty engaged in their responsibilities and activities that Bridge Builders Foundation facilitates.
Drew is a native of Long Beach, California. After graduating from the University of Oregon, he immediately started to make a difference working in community outreach programs with Long Beach State, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Clippers, SRO Housing Corporation, and Legarza Sports.
Drew was also a Start-2-Finish Scholar alumnus in 2014 and credits his success to the mentorship he received from the Bridge Builders Foundation. He looks forward to giving back to the youth and maintaining the support he benefited from participating in the program.
Associate Youth Programming Director
Joshua Abrams is a community advocate and researcher specializing in policy development and youth programming. As Associate Youth Programming Director at Bridge Builders Foundation, he designs impactful programs and builds partnerships that empower youth across Los Angeles.
With a Public Affairs degree from UCLA, Joshua has played key roles in advancing equity and inclusion, including his work with Los Angeles County’s Anti-Racism, Diversity, and Inclusion efforts, where he conducted research and implemented strategies for systemic change. His role as Lead Researcher at Blvd Strategic Affairs involved developing comprehensive restitution policy reports to support social responsibility initiatives, while his contributions to UCLA’s Voting Rights Project helped support underrepresented communities in securing resources and advocating for voting rights.
Joshua’s work reflects a commitment to social justice, accessibility, and youth empowerment across diverse communities.
