The Bridge Builders Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in 1998, as the Zeta Rho Foundation. The founding members were all members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., (Zeta Rho Chapter). Initially, the foundation sponsored an annual scholarship event, and various community uplift and health education events.
In 2005, the foundation was tasked to design and develop supportive programs to supplement existing resources and address service delivery deficits in the African American and other communities of color. Over the years, these programs continued to grow, and in 2016, the name was changed to the Bridge Builders Foundation to reflect a broader focus and a more inclusive community engagement objective.
The Bridge Builders Foundation now serves over 600 youth and young adults annually through one of our three (3) targeted programs and serves several hundred additional community members through its targeted community education initiatives.
