Inspiring the Next Generation of STEM Leaders

Program Snapshot

Serves 100+ students annually
Delivers 200+ hours of STEM instruction
Runs January–June, with a summer marine science experience
Open to elementary, middle, and high school students

Students explore physical, earth, and life sciences through hands-on experiments, culturally relevant field trips, and exposure to STEM careers.

The program culminates in a 3-day, 2-night residential experience at the USC Wrigley Marine Science Center, designed to build confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging in STEM learning environments.

Summer Marine Science Camps

Our all-expenses-paid residential summer camps offer immersive marine science experiences for 11th–12th grade students.

Students attend one of two premier programs:

UC San Diego Marine Science Camp
CSU Monterey Bay Marine Science Camp

Participants engage in:

Hands-on marine science and ocean conservation activities
Campus-based learning and recreation
Behind-the-scenes aquarium tours
Evening programs that mirror authentic college life

These experiences expand students’ horizons while highlighting STEM career possibilities in dynamic coastal environments.

Mathematics & Science Tutoring

STEM Excellence for All

Bridge Builders Foundation partners with schools across Los Angeles and Long Beach to provide after-school and Saturday math and science tutoring that strengthens academic skills and student confidence.

As a partner of the Long Beach Math Collaborative, BBF delivers evidence-based, college-preparatory STEM instruction at David Starr Jordan High School, helping students build a strong foundation for success beyond high school.
