Thomas Dowdy, Jr. is a retired professional with over 40 years of management experience, currently serving as a Management Analyst with the City of Los Angeles Public Works Bureau of Sanitation. Mr. Dowdy previously held several management positions at Kaiser Permanente for more than 32 years, retiring from Information Management Systems.
Beyond his professional work, Mr. Dowdy is deeply committed to community and global service. He currently pastors at the Church of the Brethren and serves as an Area Director for Toastmasters International, where he has been a national board member for over a decade. An experienced conflict resolution trainer and international conference speaker, he also serves on international service boards providing disaster relief to countries worldwide.
Mr. Dowdy holds a Master's degree from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Bachelor's degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He lives by the motto: "Life Is Good on Purpose."
